BUFFALO, NEW YORK (TICKER) —The Buffalo Sabres and left wing Daniel Paille agreed to terms Wednesday on a multi-year contract.

Terms were not disclosed, but TSN of Canada is reporting Paille will receive $2.25 million over two years.

Drafted 20th overall in 2002, Paille enjoyed a solid first full NHL season in 2007-08, scoring 19 goals and 35 points in 77 games with the Sabres.

“Danny is a talented young player that can make a difference at both ends of the ice,” Sabres general manager Darcy Regier said. “Danny has been a key component to our penalty-killing unit, and we look forward to helping him continue to develop with our club for years to come.”

Paille, 24, has 23 goals and 26 assists in 120 career games - all with the Sabres. The Ontario native was selected with the 20th overall pick by Buffalo in 2002.

In other moves Wednesday, left wing Clarke MacArthur and right wing Mark Mancari accepted their qualifying offers with the Sabres.

A third-round pick in 2003, the 23-year-old MacArthur recorded eight goals and seven assists in 37 games with Buffalo last season. Selected in the seventh round of the 2004 draft, Mancari, 23, spent 2007-08 with Rochester of the American Hockey League, registering 21 tallies and 57 points in 80 contests.
